Anyone out there have or played a DiPinto guitar? They are wild looking and am thinking of picking one up.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride" ! Unknown

  • They are very cool guitars. It's definitely a fashion statement! They're twangy fender style guitars and built pretty well, ash bodies and maple necks, and play a lot like a Strat or a Tele or a Jaguar. They always remind me of a guitar you would see on the Pee Wee Herman show.:D
I think the price is pretty good on them, or used to be. ( about $600 - $800 new.)
If you've ever seen Los Straightjackets, they use them. Surf guitar band.

I've been in their shop many a time in Philly. They also sell all kinds of crazy used stuff in there. It's the way a music store should be. Old and cramped and treasures mixed in with all the goofy stuff. Also home of my one watt Martone tube amp! John Martin makes great hand made Fender style amps and sells them there.
