This trade is an absurd way to start the year. 17th overall pick for a 7th rounder and change. Cmon
How so?
I'm an Astros fan (and a homer when it comes to drafting) and wanted Bregman & Brown. Seemed pretty straight forward to me. Sure, Riley will put up better stats than Bregman, but I was open to a deal that gave me both.
The team on the receiving end of your trade gets a generous advantage to start the season. I normally don’t care who does what with their team, but you could have had Bergman in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th rounds. You gave up a second. Makes no sense.

To each, their own. I don’t question anyone else’s moves or how they draft. It made sense to me. I think Bregman is going to have a big year & the same goes for Hunter Brown. I’m happy & it makes sense to me.

On top of that, it's not your team, so who cares?
