Should I trade

a Boss overdrive for a Boss TU2 Chromatic Tuner? I have a Distortion pedal along with a compressor/sustainer and wonder whether I need both distortion and overdrive. I would like the tuner as it would make drop and flat tuning easier,as well as powering up my other pedals, and not having to unplug and tune then plug back in again, but wonder if I should just keep the overdrive too. Whadya think people? Are overdrive AND distortion needed, or is it redundant?

purely on economics it's a good trade unless it's some old japanese made overdrive or something.
  • It is a Boss SD-1. Brand New, only used by a little old lady on Sundays and holidays.

one can never have enough overdrive/distortion options.

but really, it's a solid trade, being in tune is more important. You can find more OD/dist pedals later and cheaper than that tuner.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
  • don't hesitate making that trade...you're trading a 50 dollar pedal for a 100 dollar pedal.

"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
  • id do it if u have other distortion pedals

then i would sell the others u got and get a Boss DS-2

Playing out of tune sucks. Distortion won't fix that.
