How is Fenway turf compared

To arena on floor towards back? Been towards back on floor in arena and couldn’t stand it as very hard to see. I feel Fenway might be different because stage is higher? Just curious for those who have been at ballpark shows.

I’m 6’2” and had Fenway field seats in 2018 and 2016 and still found it a bit hard to see. Spent most of the time watching video screens. Who knows though, maybe they will have a higher stage or better set up this time around!
  • I’ve been to Fenway for a few shows and will say it is not a great concert venue.  I wish they’d just play the TD Garden but unfortunately ballpark/stadium shows bring in more revenue.

In 2016 I had seats very close to the stage both nights and it was magical.  In 2018 I was further away and did not even it nearly as much.  I expect to be even further back in 2023 but I'm okay with it.  I'll have a blast that night and then hear it through better quality when the boots are released.

I've been seeing that around here that seats will keep moving back with each year, despite your seniority getting even better. Is it because of even more demand these tours? I was on the turf roughly the same area in both 2016 and 2018 @ Fenway. Not amazing at 305xxx, but to be on the field was awesome.

  • If not on the field, what seats/sections do people try for when the sale opens? I sat in the RF roofbox in 2016 and loved it. My daughter did the State ST Pavilion Club 2 for Dead & Co last year and loved that. Far away but great sight lines and sound.

What other sections do people like?

Have been tempted by those Pavilion Club seats in the past. We stood next to the press box in 2018 for Pearl Jam and loved it. Far, but plenty of room to move around and great sound.

The State St Pavilion seats are awesome. You are far, but Fenway is so small it doesn’t feel that way when you’re up there. Access is easy, sound is good, and when I was there in ‘16 they had a separate merch section up there. Snagged “The Catch”
poster and there were plenty left at the time.

Ditto on this, having sat up there for Aerosmith. Sound was great, and the area up there for drinks/bathrooms is so far less congested and you can move around.
