Value of an old 10C Member Number

Apologies if this has been discussed before.

Is there already a black market for 10C profiles with low numbers? It wouldn't be that hard to transfer the account to someone.

THEORETICALLY (don't yell at me mods) how much would a number in the 100,000s fetch?

Worthless at this point considering that they have reserved seats as high as the 200’s where previously 10C used to get the best seats in the house and while both P1 and P2 were group together.

It’s really a big fuck you to its members who have a low number.

you have a better chance on getting better seats F2F while saving the yearly Membership.

    If I didn’t have such a low number I wouldn’t pay for a membership.

I’ll try my luck on F2F

150000 sounding off. I get killer seats close to the stage every time since 1998. Though I don’t put in for more than 1 show when I can go. Worth maintaining my membership every year.

27552 here it’s literally worthless unless seating is involved and even then with premium tickets we’ve been pushed back/aside! This lottery was only the 2nd time I’ve scored tickets the other time was 2020 Baltimore that got cancelled and I put in for Baltimore this time but didn’t get picked!

139,xxx no problem with seat locations even if they’ve been pushed back from GA and premium. Second row in ‘98 and ‘00 was fun!

198XXX here. My seats in Austin 2023 were considerably worse than prior tours and I had to upgrade through fan to fan. Not looking to ditch the number, but surprising nonetheless.

By the way, thanks for finding a new way to make me feel old :P

How much you want for it?
  • I sat next to a lady at the first St. Paul show last year with a fan club number like 50xxx. We sat first section next to the stage row 6, she said she usually had the 2nd or 3rd row in our section before premiums. She wasn’t mad about it, she just pointed it out and said if I can get 6th row for every show as tickets get more expensive and they play less, it’s worth the membership. She was on the money.
My number is 340xxx from 2004, and I went to 6 of the 8 shows last year without using the tickets I won. Before 2020, my number would get me 3rd closest lower bowl section next to the stage and that’s great for the big demand shows. Truth be told, it wasn’t because of F2F from 2020-2024, it was more because of the community here and then using F2F to send the tickets. That’s how it’s always been in 10c, looking out for familiar names and faces. The last time I used my own tickets was GA for MSG 2022.

It would be impossible to transfer the number. Especially if this all about tickets. The Ticketmaster account is matched to the Pearl Jam Member account.  So unless the person wants to relinquish both and you want to pretend to have their name at your address for both it is a worthless venture.

There has definitely been a bit of a meh in the recent years with tickets being set back, further and ticketmaster not really having a great idea of how things should allocate.  Say you have sections 100 and 102 on stage right Stone side.  100 being directly stage side 102 being the next section over.  The seats would  be better allocated by number across the rows of those two sections vs bottom to top and then starting over.  Basically you could have a number like 135,xxx and be in row D of 100, I have a number 141,xxx and in row S of 100, then somebody with 150,xxx can have row B in 102.  It is somewhat splitting hairs, but it is not allocated in the best fashion.
His eminence has yet to show.

  • 198xxx here. My seats have always been decent. Wouldn't say great. But I've also only used it on shows in Boston and NY so it's hard to judge really.  Just happy to be in the building.

I don't have quite as low a number as most who have chimed in but I've been an uninterrupted member for 20 years. It definitely seems like the value has diminished since after 2018 or so. My seats had been relatively constant up to that point even though I had always hoped they would get better. They've taken some definite steps back since that point. I'm typically happy with the seats, but I just expected that after 20 years my seniority would have given me some improvement in location. That hasn't happened. I've never had GA or been chosen for those special rows before GA. I often didn't want to gamble on GA and miss the show entirely when there was a priority system.

I don't believe your 10c account is inseverably linked to only one TM account

109xxx - ask the 1998 version of my number and you get a different answer. Generally, if you get reserved seats in the wings, they are still very good, but they do get further away each tour and no sign of going the other way.

I'm 207xxx, I had some amazing seats with this number (Cincy in 06), but I've also been pushed almost back to the lawn with this number, so it's a crapshoot really. But I will keep paying the member dues, because I want to keep my number.

It’s the same for me. In ‘06-‘13 I would get floor seats or on the side, middle of the 100 section. Had decent seats in ‘16 at Fenway, and pretty lame seats in ‘18. Didn’t get 10C seats in 20-22, but kind of apprehensive what my seats will look like this tour.

10c has always been phenomenal.  I've had front row at MSG ('10), 3rd row in Camden ('98), 4th row in Camden (2000), 6th row in Philly ('05), all 4 Spectrum shows, always great seats with little hassle.  My next show will be my 50th.  I'm not sure yet where it will be, but I know It will happen.  I was lucky enough to score P1 reserved for both Boston shows this time around.  I had requested 2 MSG, 2 Philly, 2 Boston.  The demand is super high anymore.  I can't complain at all.  I've gotten to see them 49 times since '95.

I have a 197 number and my Austin seats were lower bowl rear corner for night 1 and row 2 of the rear main floor section night 2.  By far the absolute worst fan club seats I've ever had. usually I get second section in the wing or back in the no GA day, around row 10-14 main floor.
For Austin, it sucked to see literally dozens of seats in the fist two wing sections list at face value the day of the show. I was watching tickets closely and those same seats were PJ Premium listed at 3-4x in the days leading up but must not have sold so they lowered them to face. Historically those would have been fan club seats. I have P1 for Montana and both Boston shows and have pretty low expectations for the quality of seats.

wow, this thread is still open?
I understand the curiosity of the question. Its no different than an old vinyl you never intend to sell and checking what it is worth for fun. I've actually wondered the same thing, but never asked it out loud.
My guess it would have been worth a lot more 5 or 6 years ago. But with the trend of more seats farther back, fewer shows to attend and uncertainty of how the lottery actually works, probably not a whole lot right now.

Per the rules you agreed to: Memberships may not be sold and/or transferred.

Violating the membership and ticket policies could result in a revocation of privileges and may result in you being permanently banned from the fan club.
