Wrigley Odds

I remember when I lost out on Toronto back in 2016 I decided to put in for both Wrigley shows.  From what I can remember the odds of getting tickets were really good.  I believe the odds were really good in 2018 as well (but maybe the odds were gone at that point).  Seems like there are a lot of people who missed out on Wrigley this time around.  I wonder what changed?  Less ten club tickets?  Higher demand?  It seemed like the general thought going into the lottery this time was that everyone who put in for Wrigley would get tickets.  Just curious

Yeah, I heard that too and couldn't believe that I didn't get either show. So, I am also wondering how much higher the demand was for those 2 shows.

  • I'm guessing the demand was quite high for the 8/31 show with it being the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. That was the only show I could put in for and was shutout. Was kind of surprised but when I thought of the other factors it made sense. I will figure out a way to get two for the show. If anyone wants to dump their undesirables on me, I would be happy to take them! Lol!

    2016 - Fenway N1
    2018 - Wrigley N1

    2024 - Wrigley N2
  • It feels like there are less 10c tix, or there are more getting pulled today. But I don’t understand why Ticketmaster wouldn’t pull them all at once for each show.

I kind of figured that the demand would have been higher in 2016 since playing Wrigley was still new but since this will be their 6th and 7th time playing there I thought demand would be less.  Plus with all the East Coast shows I figured less East Coasters would put in.  But maybe I'm underestimating Midwest demand since this is the only place in the Midwest they are playing other than Indy.

My brother is a season ticket holder for the Cubs, he was able to get in the TM presale. As well as residents who live near Wrigley Field

  • I can only speak for myself, but living well North of Toronto (about 400kms) - and due to work and travel considerations, Wrigley Night 2 was basically my only option for the dates announced.  I would assume there are many people from Southern Ontario and beyond in a similar boat - so Wrigley was likely a top choice for many - mainly due to location and dates (still end of Summer).  With no Eastern Canadian dates, I'd bet a lot of Canadians are going to be in Chicago for those dates.

Makes sense and I will blame Canada 🤣.  My wife is actually from the UP so it is essentially Canada so I can't be too mad you Canadians.😀

I skipped out on Wrigley, It is the worst place to see ANY concert. I'm holding out if they tour again in 2025 or/and 2026 and play smaller venues
