hey all, i play my avt50 in my bedroom and as i reported a few weeks ago, at low bedroom volumes the distortion channel is quite fuzzy (not in a good way)...now i have also heard reports that when you push the volume on it past 5 or so, the sound is very mushy with its stock pre-amp tube. i was wondering is there any tube i can replace the stock one with to get rid of both of these problems? preferably the fuzz one at the moment. thanks :).
seems that needlessly its getting harder

    sure, it's a 12AX7.

You can replace it with most any 12ax7 though you might want to check with marshall tech support first.

In some amps you can go with a 12AT7 or 12AU7 for lower gain.

I would suggest Electro Harmonix, there are lots of good brands.

you can read about them here, http://www.thetubestore.com
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
