LA Ticket Buddy Strategy

I’d like to go solo for both LA shows, but I’m thinking I should put in for 2 tickets for both. 
That way if I only get 1 show I can trade my other ticket for 1 to the other show. Has anyone done this strategy? Anyone want to be a ticket buddy?

    Lots of times... it's always likely esp with good seats or GA.
