Ok. I guess it was the 3rd week it was off the chart.BF25394 said:
No, Gigaton was No. 7 in sales and No. 66 on the Billboard 200 in its second week.igotid88 said:
Damn. I don't think Gigaton was on the 2nd week or probably in the 180s. Still thought this album would have done better. Tour started in Canada so don't know how much it will help here for next week's chart.BF25394 said:The album falls to No. 19 in sales and to No. 171 on the Billboard 200 in its second week.

Oh well, at least it's on the Billboard 200 for two weeks. I recently ordered two more Dark Matter CDs, but I don't think they're going to ship for a couple/few more days. Long live Pearl Jam! 🥑0

That guy is a music journalist, and yet he doesn't realize that there's nothing unusual or newsworthy about anything he reports in that article.igotid88 said:I gather speed from you fucking with me.0 -

She released her first album in 2006. She became a huge star with her second album, in 2008. She already has a pretty impressive record of longevity. It is very rare for a top-selling artist to sustain sales at peak level for anything close to the 16 years and counting she's currently at. Think of the recent pop stars who had hit after hit for a short period of a few years but can't buy a hit anymore. Katy Perry had five number ones from one album but hasn't hit the top ten in seven years, Lady Gaga hasn't had a hit since 2020. Both of those artists broke through in 2008, just like Swift, but only Swift is still setting sales records. Look at Adele. She set the all-time record for single-week sales in 2015, a record which still stands at 3.38 million copies. Swift's latest album sold more copies in its first week than Adele's latest album has sold in total since it was released two-and-a-half years ago, and it's not even that close.Lerxst1992 said:
You have multiple generations that have embraced these songs over a decade-and-a-half. People are not going to forget those songs 30 years from now. To the contrary, they'll be nostalgic for them the way a lot of Pearl Jam fans cling to their first three albums, the last of which came out 30 years ago. The difference is that Pearl Jam was the biggest artist in the country for about a year-and-a-half. Taylor Swift has been the biggest artist in the country for close to ten years and counting.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0 -
