What's the resale value on this bass?

Mine is 2-3 years old... there's a lot of gunk in the pickups/on the neck I'd have to get cleaned, but no permanent damage or nicks or anything like that... I was thinking around $500, but I don't wanna rip anyone off (or myself either)...

It's a really solid sounding bass and I'm not even sure if I'm going to get rid of it yet, but if I were to sell it, what price would you suggest?

Oh, and this is my Stingray5... finally got MY bass up there... and it's kinda cut off, but my Fender is laying next to it...

Well, if it cleans up okay, I'd say it's worth around $500. But it's hard to say what people are willing to pay. You might watch on eBay and see what the final sales price of a few are, that should give you a good idea of market value. If you have an in with a pawn-shop or music store with second-hand instruments, you could always ask if they could look up the book value.

Hell, if I had $500 right now, I'd be willing to buy it... that's my ideal bass (well, that and a FOUR-string Stingray).

Good luck, and if you decide to keep it a while, I might make you an offer.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
