Good chances this happens ^^^Get_Right said:I am surprised crowded house is lower on the bill. I would guess you might get an EV appearance when they play.
Ed and Neil Finn have been friends and collaborators for a long time. Hope it happens for those that are there.0 -
Sorry to hear Neil is cancelled this far out, hope you get a decent replacement.0

Ed joining NIN for any song would be epic. I do love Survivalism also.Spiritual_Chaos said:Eddie coming out for Survivalism would be epic.
But I think "While I'm Still Here" would be a perfect song for Ed to join NIN for.
This song is essentially the "Setting Sun" of the Hesitation Marks album.

Another great fit for Eddie to join would be the "Setting Sun" of the With Teeth album, "Right Where It Belongs".

I'm probably getting myself excited over nothing here. Likely a slim chance that NIN does perform at Ohana.
But I'll enjoy the idea until the replacement artist is announced...Post edited by MikeDigs onI'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0 -
Great! Nice riding back with a little buzz. You do want to make sure you get an e-bike though to handle those SC hills on the way back..Gern Blansten said:
How is the ride at night back to SC though?jgregory89 said:
Definitely rent a bike. I usually stay in San Clemente and rent an e-bike as well. There's a few places to rent from in SC. It's a nice cruise down to the show and you can park/lock it at the designated bike area. Easy in/easy out.Spiritual_Chaos said:Oh. Yeah. Renting a bike might be an option then also
With the festival ending so early (?) at night... taking some time getting home isn't that big of a hassle
And luckily with the US not being a "tax nightmare" like here in Sweden, a beer at the festival must be like 2-3 dollars. Amazing!

Depending on the travel time needed before his tour in Uruguay.... Paul McCartney. Everyone else appears to be booked.0

I wonder if Ohana and Bourbon & Beyond Festival will team up to get the same headliner to fill Neil’s slot, NY was supposed to play B&B the week before, so now they’re scrambling for someone else too. Could help if they can get someone to do two shows instead of just one.0

How about The Who?
I realize "they" are not touring, but Roger is, and they just did a few shows last year.Post edited by YAKIMATSU onSoldier Field 7-11-95, Alpine Valley 6-26-98, United Center 6-29-98, Riverport Amphitheater (St. Louis)7-2-98, MGM Grand Arena 10-22-00, Sprint Center (Kansas City)5-3-10, Adams Event Center (Missoula)9-30-12, Wrigley Field 7-19-13, Jobing.com Arena (Phoenix)11-19-13, Moda Center (Portland)11-29-13, Spokane Arena 11-30-13, Pepsi Center (Denver)10-22-14, Gila River Arena (Phoenix)5-9-22, Moody Center (Austin)9-18-23, Moody Center 9-19-23, Rogers Arena (Vancouver)5-4-24, Rogers Arena 5-6-24, MGM Grand 5-16-24, MGM Grand 5-18-24, Wrigley Field 8-29-24, Wrigley Field 8-31-24, Nashville 5-6-25, Nashville 5-8-250 -

I feel like that's ^^^ as likely to happen as Taylor Swift filling in.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't consider the road that runs along the coast there to be a highway, but I ride on the sidewalk there, there's also a large parking lot along there that you can ride in. Also, the traffic at that hour on that road is pretty sparse. Then about halfway down, there's a bike path that's separated by a guard rail that runs parallel to the road. After that you hit a dirt trail that runs parallel to the beach and railroad tracks, you'll go over a little bridge which you'll need to walk the bike over. The dirt trail will take you all the way to SC's pier, you can also exit before the pier and head up the hills to wherever you're staying. It's very safe.Gern Blansten said:

What does it matter without Neil.

Good news for you! -- No ditches.

Also, @Spiritual_Chaos I saw your comment on the Neil Young thread about having "no interest in the American west coast," and I'm kind of puzzled by it. The western part of the US, in my opinion and experience, is far more beautiful than the eastern half of the country. There are mountains, desert, giant redwoods, a breathtaking coastline. The cities have great restaurants and a ton going on, generally.Plus, late September is a great time to visit. Summer comes late to the west coast in general, and in SoCal September and October are known as "locals' summer," because the tourists and the "Zonies" (Arizonans) have gone home. All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0

That’s good to know because I’ve stayed north of the venue toward Laguna and riding that stretch at night didn’t look appealing. Just a bike lane along four lanes of fast drivers with hills and curves.jgregory89 said:
