    I still haven't received bands/tix and no email. I did get an email on 8/8 that said they would be shipping soon but nothing since then.

    Nice call.  I didn't realize Lake Hughes was so close to LA.  Thought it was more NoCal.
    Now I've got my hopes up for a Neil appearance. :)

    They're using 3rd party shippers.  Mine sat at the Phx distribution hub for 3 days before USPS picked it and they're scheduled for delivery today.

    That's...not the original date of his cancelled show.  But he still might swing by.

    That would definitely help. Hoping for the same thing at Bourbon & Beyond the week before, his appearance there also got cancelled but he’s still doing Farm Aid Saturday and then the Capitol Theatre shows the following week. So hope he drops in for some kind of an appearance for the people who bought tickets to these festivals to see him.

    I know Paul Weller and James & Johnny Marr are in the area for sure.

    It's a great time to visit the area because both the marine layer (fog and gray gloom) and most tourists are gone. It's "locals' summer." You can go kayaking, parasailing, hiking. Visit museums (in LA, the Getty is amazing!), hit up some great restaurants. Go to Disneyland, if you're a masochist (I kid, sort of).

    Southern California is massive, with millions of people, a variety of climates and ecosystems, and endless things to do.
    All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.

If everyone's on their feet (or won't yell at us for being on ours) we might check it out. Also, I'm short so no matter where we are, I can't usually see unless I bob around a lot so I'm thinking the bleachers might give us a better view of the stage, albeit further away.

    Anyway, interested in hearing people's experiences back there!

    We sat there the first year (2016 -- time flies!) and it was nice; people were sitting, though. Crowds definitely pack in later in the day as more people show up, like you do.
