Pearl Jam has tried a number of different approaches to "Corduroy" over the years, including, of course, playing a bit of Pink Floyd's "Interstellar Overdrive" leading into it. Listening to Vitalogy today, it occurred to me that they ought to work up "Pry, To" and play that as an intro to "Corduroy." It would take some practice, but not that much practice. It could even be a fun way to open a set, complementing the slow burn of the opening of "Corduroy" before the first verse kicks in.

On a similar note, why not work up "Aye Davanita"? That one would take a bit more practice than "Pry, To," but it would be a fun addition to the repertoire. Again, they could even open with it as something to milk the audience anticipation that always accompanies the band's arrival on stage.

I'd love to see either or both of these songs finally make their live debuts, but only if they practiced them and made a sincere attempt to recreate how they sound on the album.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.
