Flyer for Malfunkshun’s Seattle debut at Danceland USA on September 20, 1981!

Danceland USA was located at 1510 ½ First Avenue, in the building now occupied by Showgirls near Pike Place Market. Tucked above the York Lunch diner, the venue had a short run. January to December 1981. Most shows were held on Friday and Saturday nights, but Malfunkshun played a rare Sunday set.

This isn’t their first gig as a band as they played once or twice in Bainbridge Island prior but what an incredible early artifact to surface.
