Dinosaur Jr (we know J Mascis has a solo album coming out early next year).
Blake Babies Earwig re-issue (scheduled for early 2024 release).
    Juliana Hatfield covers R.E.M. (rumored).
Something involving The Dream Syndicate's Steve Wynn and R.E.M. Peter Buck (just a hunch).
3 or 4 four new Neil Young records and maybe a half dozen Young re-issues and a 360 LP career spanning box set called Full Circle.

Tool starting to talk about thinking about starting to write new songs...

    Soundgarden Louder Than Love reissue

I'd say by their cycles AIC, STP and Deftones are due to start writing if they haven't already.

My Swiftie wife is reliably informed Reputation (TV) will be announced shortly.

I hope a new Mark Knopfler record means a tour. He’s one of the few I still need to see.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

They were teasing Raconteurs were up to something a couple of weeks ago, but with the blue color scheme this is probably solo. Either way it sounds promising

Quit the list there including some people/ bands I need to familiarize myself with.
Others in the article: I pre-ordered the J Mascis, so no surprise there.  But Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore I didn't know about  (both could be good), and Lemonheads really surprised me.  Sure would be cool to see Even Dando doing some good music (not to mention just doing well in general).

Lenny Kravitz's  "5"  cd is deserted island stuff. His live shows are A++.
Super fired up for the new music from him

My Lenny experience turned me off to him. I was really into 5 (obviously played the hell out of Circus and Let Love Rule). Bought tickets to the 5 tour. He was co headlining with Black Crowes. After black crowes, Lenny came out, played maybe 2-3 songs, and passed out onstage. Someone came out and said he was dehydrated and the rest of the show was cancelled. Came out a short time later that it was drugs/alcohol. Also, no refund offered because Black Crowes already played. Ever since then I wrote him off. Will still listen to a few tracks from the above mentioned albums but was a total selfish rock star move.

Saw him at the Riv in Chicago and was super pumped for the show. 5 minutes into his set he started flirting with a woman he saw in one of the boxes beside the stage and the entire concert was him basically performing to her and never acknowledged anything else but her. It was super tacky and I have never even considered his music since.

Crossing fingers Joanna Newsom's record comes out, it's been 9 years since Divers, and she is up there in my top 5 artists of the 21st century for sure.
