I just picked up #38. Charles was incredibly kind and was willing to give his thoughts on each of the drawings I was considering. There are still some left.

  • I got #69 (and this one goes to Germany). Charles is a really nice guy and helped me with the selection. I'm so happy!

So funny! When I was talking to him he asked to call me back because of an incoming call from Germany!

Really? That's funny! I hope I didn't snatch #69 away from you. It's unpleasant for me to have interrupted your conversation...

I tried to talk myself out of it all day, but my daughter loved the art and wanted to help the EB cause. Bought #43.

Fun day.  Nerve wracking for a while because it turns out my 10am call didn't actually go through.  Called back hours later and I still got one in my top 5 list.  Honestly every single one looks cool.  You can tell Ed spent a decent amount of time making most of these.
  • I don't get it, they are cool but not worth anywhere near $100 let alone $1500+. Remove the Vedder signature are they even worth $100.
  • Nice that the proceeds are to EB, still not worth it. But if you're donating it's a nice gesture

    1) I’ve never seen a Vedder authentic auto sell anywhere near as low as $100. Your full of it, Eddie autos that are real on meaningful items sell for hundred(s) to the low thousands.

    2) yes agree, a drawing done by someone not Eddie Vedder is not as appealing to one done by Eddie Vedder.

Why are you so negative on a rare opportunity to buy a piece of art work drawn by one of the great all time lead singers which is signed and authenticated as being real from someone who doesn’t often do this sort of thing and who is doing it for a charity?

The value of this is way above any sort of concept you will ever understand.

Eddie wouldn’t spend the time to do 85 distinct versions if he wasn’t passionate about helping to find a cure. Ever since seeing Eddie paint on PJ20, I thought it would be cool to someday own something unique he created. And soon one will be hanging on my wall.

This is some entertaining logic... These signed pieces aren't worth anything if they weren't signed.

    100% agreed.

Also, non-sequitor, your handle/screen name is amazing.

  • It doesn't matter what you think Ed's pictures are worth.  And to be honest, I don't care either. Everyone has their own idea of value. For me, it's that I want to support Vitology and EBRP AND also (for ME) get valuable pictures of my idol and the best lead singer of all time. And now please save the useless comments that the pictures are not worth it...

Agree they are worth what someone is willing to pay or can afford to

Out of my price range but if I could afford to drop that amount I definitely would

No problemo. I thought about it but my wife would of killed me if I had spend over 2-3K CDN just before the holidays. Also we got married just over 2 months ago. So, you know. If only these were released a year ago ...

I mean, the logic is pretty straightforward: sometimes one pays a lot of money because of the art itself, this time it’s because of who did it.

Hope so too. Not sure if they all sold out.

5 were purchased by Live Nation and the band.  I'm sure those will be auctioned for charity.

I never heard if they completely sold out.   I imagine the $2500 ones moved slower but there were less of them.  He did say the purchases were nonstop when I spoke to him.
  • Just bought #28. Several are still available.
