I think my group may have Airbnb near Wrigley lined up but booked Westin Mich Ave as a backup. Third night free promotion brought the rate to $234/night incl fees for 8/28-9/1.

thats an awesome deal. Unfortunately after parking rates I would end paying more than my Airbnb. Definitely a good option and one I would have booked if I had seen sooner.

With the exception of last year's shows at UC, instead of driving to Chicago we take Amtrak from downstate Illinois at a station about an hour from our house. It is a 4.5 hour drive to downtown Chicago from our home. The train is more relaxing than driving and you don't have to navigate the Chicago traffic. Round trip for both us is just over $100. Parking at hotels downtown cost more than that if you stay 3 days or more. If you have the option of taking the train to Chicago you should try it.

Same.  Old Chicago Inn here.  $224 for 3 nights all in.  Can’t beat that.
I didn't even realize that place existed. Great location. I don't like sharing a bathroom so I'd opt for a room with its own.
Normally I don’t either but it was fine at Green Tortoise for Ed so hopefully this will be similar experience.
I can't stand the thought of someone waiting on me while I'm doing my daily ritual at 735am

Green tortoise had several bathrooms with showers on each floor so there was never a wait.

Yes. People will open up their personal spots and there is an Alamo drafthouse and lucky strike that recently opened that has parking.

Pro tip - use a parking app to find multi day self parking near your hotel.  Much cheaper and no valet delays.

We used to stay at the City Suites but they only book 7 days at a time now or something.

I can't believe there aren't more hotels near Wrigley

The Camry Lot is surprising nice. Holds a decent amount of cars and only 2 blocks away. I park there for most cubs games and parked there for Bruce last summer. Just have to get there a little early before it sells out.

There’s is a ton of free parking if you can walk a mile. A 15-20 walk is well worth the free parking imo

They may have reverted back...I just checked and it does look like you can book nights now. They don't let you book anything beyond April right now for some reason.

Yes, I can walk a mile especially if it's FREE. Where is the free parking located?

I can also look into The Camry Lot too.

I really appreciate the info as I MAY be driving through, and leaving right after the show is over.

It’s an easy walk. Away from the traffic too so you can usually just get in the car and leave.
Really there’s plenty of free spots all over Chicago. Reading the street signs is just important is all.
The easiest spot I can recommend is straight down addison, after a certain intersection there’s no street parking restrictions.
