help with acoustic electric

well, ive been playing for about 4 years now, and im actually turning into a decent guitar player. my problem is I can never get the right sound out of my Epiphone (yeah, i know) acoustic electric and my Peavey (yup) amp. i do not understand all the terms on the slides to get the sound you want. like bright and things like that. any suggestions would mean the world. thanks

    If the amp is meant for electric guitar, you probably won't get the desired sound out of it. Electric guitar amps are meant for electric guitars, and acoustic amps were created for a reason.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
