Bryan Hayes, Jeff O’Neill and Jamie McLennan discuss Noodles’ run in
with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder during his playing days in the IHL and
Connor Bedard not knowing who Pearl Jam is.
Cross referencing Noodles career stats with Pearl Jam shows, this would have been a two night set, November 1 & 2, 1995. Height of the serious stalker situation which kept him from being a full participant in the Mirror Ball recording sessions with NY. The Merkin Ball EP was recorded in February of 95.
These were tumultuous times for the band and Eddie in particular. I don’t remember the exact date of when that maniac rammed into his house, but I’m sure that had a lot to do with this.
I thought you meant Noodles from the Offspring when I read this post, not JM, a career backup goalie. Lol.
I just wanted to find out who actually allowed people to call them Noodles.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th 1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California Nothing since then. I suck. 2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights 2022- Oakland Night 2 2024 Sacramento, CA
A couple of things to note for the non Canadians who don't know the show. 1) This isn't the first time he complained about this - the day of the pearl jam show in Toronto last year (where this show is from) the main guy, Bryan Hayes (who is definitely a fan) was jazzed about them being in town, to which Noodles immediately complained about that incident. 2) Noodles is a big fan and also a friend of the guys in Nickelback, so not being a pearl jam fan makes sense haha.

Just another reason for Pearl Jam to play Canada in 2024 and add a new ending to the story.
