Intrigued about the double lp at 45rpm. But not getting too excited if they're using the remastered version. I have an OG pressing, and it's mastered much better and blows the reissue out of the water.
Edit: Judging from the mockup, looks like this is the remastered version just put on 2lps. Will likely sound a bit better but better than the OG? Probably not
I think the remastered sounds good on Cd and streaming. I bet a new cut allowing the new master to breath will sound much better. Kinda like this new Yield.

I'm hopeful. The 2011 reissue by MOV gets good reviews (they almost always do a good job even with digital remasters), and I noticed they had a person recut the lacquer It just seems the U.S. vinyl version is the meh one, and, notably, does not state it was recut.
The new Yield not only benefits from 45RPM but also Levi recutting it.
I think the remastered vinyl is just a shitty cut of vinyl. If a new vinyl is cut over 2LP at 45RPM by someone with the right skill (such as Levi) I would expect a nice improvement from the remaster. However, the original vinyl still might be the best sound of all of the studio albums.
I wonder if 10c will put some of these for sale, being that Target doesn't ship to Canada anymore :( Would love a copy to keep working on a the PJ colour vinyl collection.

The 2016 pressing is excellent. Right up there with the OG.

And it's all going to be the 24-bit remaster cut to vinyl, so you could simply listen to the cutting files and avoid the extra conversions unless your analogue rig is either a) your only rig or b) vastly superior to your digital chain (like, separate tube amp, etc)
