JESUS!   i guess memory is all I will have from that show.....

I'll always remember the 115 degree heat that day. Never saw the poster for sale. Paid $800 about 7 years ago for it and thought that was ridiculous. Seems like a bargain now.

Such high prices. Don’t blame Ames as they are trying to get the most they can for them. But only really worth buying if you were at the show (not really that attractive from a poster collector perspective).

MSG for 750 seemed good. Never really see that one.

I bet if a kong shows up $5,000. Maybe 4?

I guess they figure start high and can always reduce price till sells.
I'm waiting for one that keeps showing up to hit 100...will see.

Ya, you can't go by ebeans anymore.  Their poster values are usually way off.

Jeez, $175 for Boston 03 night 1. Would have jumped at that (I like that poster way more than the "night 2").

True. Fun to speculate and watch. The poster market is quite volatile. Downward spiral for sure. Ever since that one collector got out of the game.....

IMO its just the economy tightening and PJ is off tour. When on tour it'll be up and if interest rates go down, it will go back up.

Of course it could. Even if it is a flipper good luck to them, that is a huge price to pay to hope that you can turn around to make an extra grand.

The user has a huge collection of just about every big PJ poster.  I'm thinking its from their personal collection and they threw it up there with a "I don't really want to sell it" price of 5k.

Agreed. I sold my show edition a couple years ago for 1250 to trade up for the aluminum edition. Now that one might go for 2-3 K if they have any left

Doubt it.  Why wouldn't they just price it at $3000?  Not to mention, he has a huge collection and all of a sudden he realized he hadn't listed this one on the site?

They'd probably be selling a signed numbered version and not a show edition. I think they'll ask $2,500-$3k for S/N.

I don’t think you’re understanding how ebeans works. Just because a person has the poster in their collection on the site doesn’t mean it’s for sale. Most people just use it to track their collections. They will occasionally list a poster from their collection for sale.  The Vegas poster was in his collection on ebeans and he made it available for sale after the Ames sale. And the reason he didn’t just list it for 3000 is because he wants more than that to let the poster go. Especially after one sold for 4k the other day.

    FAQs

    When is this happening?
The sale begins Wednesday, April 24th around 10AMish PST, and wraps up end-of-day on April 25th.

    Are these reprints?
No. We have carefully maintained a stored archive of each and every poster we've ever created.

Are you offering all of the posters in your archive?
No. Only posters from shows that occurred in April and August will be for sale. And not every poster we’ve ever designed will be available. If all goes well, we will do the same in May and on and on.

How many are available of each poster for sale?
    At least one.

Will they be at original pricing?
No. Pricing will be at or near market value.

Should I get in touch to complain or haggle on the price?
No. Go outside and enjoy your day. So will we.

    Are these legit?
Heck yes! The posters are all from the original run/edition. After looking around at what's available in the market, we see a lot of fake signatures. This is a chance to buy directly from the actual artists and guarantee authenticity.

What kind of condition are the posters in?
Everything available is in mint or near mint condition (unless otherwise noted). Keep in mind that even though the posters have been carefully stored away and treated with the utmost care, they are all hand crafted items. Because of this, they are often a little bit unique in and of themselves and a little different from each other. We find that to be a beautiful thing. We've worked with dozens of different printers over the years, and each has their own style, ink and paper stock. That said, we won't put anything up for sale with dog-ears, creases, marks etc... and if we do, we will make a note of it. Otherwise assume it's in M/NM condition.

How long will the sale last?
The sale will last for 2 days or until the posters are all sold out. All of the posters will be made available on the 1st day of the sale around 10am.

Will all the posters be put up for sale at the same time?
    Yes.

Does this archive sale include t-shirts?
No. Right now this is poster specific, but we will be releasing more older tee designs over the next few months.

    How will the posters ship?
All will ship fully insured in a sturdy tube via whatever premium shipping service you chose.

How long until my poster ships?
Please allow 2-3 weeks before orders are processed and begin to ship. You will receive a shipping notice when your poster is packaged and ready to ship.

    Will you offer returns?
No, we will not. All sales are final. All shipments will be fully insured against any damage that could occur during shipping,

Can I cancel an order I placed by accident or that I changed my mind on?
No. Because this is a short sales window of 2 days, if you buy it, it's yours. To ask us to cancel after isn't fair to us or other people who are interested in the poster. Please make up your mind before you buy.

Will you ship outside of the US and Canada?
No, we will only be shipping archive prints to the US and Canada at this time.

    Can I combine multiple orders?
No. In an effort to expedite orders and stay organized, individual orders will be shipped as such.

    See ya Wednesday!
