09/05/23 print devastation (10c)

Hi everyone,

It's been a while. Life is good, and I hope yours is too. 

My wife just opened our front door, and to my surprise the 09/05/23 Ames print I purchased through 10c arrived. The thing is, the print has extensive water damage as it appears to have been delivered some time during yesterday rainfall. We were home all day yesterday, and we haven't received any notifications from UPS. It was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. 

I've read 10c's policy, but I'm devastated. Chicago 1 was show 16 for me.

    That sucks.  I don’t understand  why USPS or anyone else would leave anything out in the rain.  The other day we received two packages from Amazon.  One was wrapped in plastic and was left inside our enclosed porch.  The other was a cardboard box and was left out in the rsin.  Conplaints to Amazon are ignored.

    You could try to use an iron on a lower temp to keep it from curling/wrinkling. Obviously use a barrier between the iron & poster. A towel or some kraft paper or something. I don’t know if that would stop it from getting a water stain line, though. 

    If you have a local framer, give them a call tomorrow and see if they have any recommendations. 

    If you can get it to dry out, get one of those tri-fold project boards to store it in for a week or two and apply weight on top to further help flatten it.

    Definitely can’t hurt. If there’s any left maybe they’ll have some sympathy for your situation.

    Thanks, everyone. After looking into it some more, USPS delivered it last without any notifications. In fact, its tracking system still indicates that it has yet to receive the item. It just gets worse and worse.

    I hope 10c can help me out as the water did a number on the print.
