I was amazed that the whole venue was GA. We didn't even attempt to go down to the pit. But I remember moving around a lot in the stands to get different views. A bit of psilocybin may also have been involved in my experience there

Smart to stay out of the pit area in that frame of mind. My friend I went with was a huge fan, so she was bummed we couldn't stay up front.  I could feel my rib cage folding in ways it shouldn't. Ahh the good old days.

I somehow ended up on the rail between mike and Ed.  I looked back a few times and couldn’t believe how many people were at that show.

Another distinct memory of that show was waiting for those busses. Once we finally got on our bus some girl starting puking all over the place.  Good times.

My 1st pj show an still one of best! Loved being up close getting crushed all night...followed it up with Hartford and getting pepper sprayed up front. Solid times for sure!

My first show as well!  Realized about 3 songs in that 16 year old me did not belong in that pit, so had to drop back a bit.  Damage was done though, I’m still at it at 43 years old.

It was such an amazing show! My second one. Somehow we ended the night at the rail. I had a disposable camera and was close enough to get good shots but somehow I dropped the camera. Looked around and couldn't find it so I hope someone had it developed and enjoyed the pix.

Also, very grateful for us having enough tokens to make a quick and easy exit back on the bus to the subway.

Going to Ohana today and wondering what shoes will be most comfortable all day. Times have changed!

Started near the back, worked our way up front, my friend got pulled up on stage, I couldn’t breathe very well and had to look up to take deep breaths 🤣, and eventually worked my way to the back again. I remember being blown away by in my tree. Great night!

Have to mention the ticket buying process. Was it hours, days, weeks…calling the hotline number trying to get tickets? Redial was the original F5!

  • You had to mail away for tix. Post marked on a certain date. I remember driving to the city, main branch on 8th Ave.and dropping off envelopes at exactly midnight. Then waiting for tix to arrive week or so later.

I can’t remember the ticket buying process. I thought you had to call. I remember working in an office during that time as an administrative assistant in a cubicle. I remember during my lunch hour sneaking into some executives office who wasn’t there to use the phone to call the number for tickets. But I could be wrong. I really can’t remember how I got the tickets.
  • It was hysterical. When I got to the p.o., I ran into a ton of PJ fans dropping off theirs. Best part, the tickets. Something to show the grand kiddies.

We got our tickets by calling on the telephone… I never got through.  And found out later I had been calling the wrong number the whole time.  Luckily my brother picked up an extra pair for me.  🤣

I think I was home from college on break and even tried calling from a friends house at a party. Just like Ticketmaster now, any spare couple of minutes redial/f5. Finally got through at home one day.
