White whale night #2 in Fort Worth

Went to my 28th Pearl Jam show on Friday in Fort Worth. Saw them for the first time in 92 and have been in the fan club since early 93. Ten Club hooked it up with some tickets (I’m a low 50k number). Second row side and a direct view of the band. 

My 30 year white whale has always been Hard to Imagine live. 

Hard to imagine was a white whale as just even a studio version for a long time. Prior to the Chicago Cab soundtrack and Lost Dogs, all there was were two not so great recordings from the Vs. and Vitalogy sessions.

I lost it last night when I heard the opening riff. 

Wash and Oceans are 2a/b on my white whale list and the order can change. 

Garden was the next one. To get that checked off too was just a blessing. I really didn’t care what they played after Hard to Imagine. 

If David and Chris from pre-show at the Velvet Taco read this, I’m so happy y’all got your white whale, Red Mosquito!

Eddie’s voice sounded the best it has in years. I hadn’t seen the band in 7 years and told my wife we are putting in for shows on every tour from now on. 

Thanks again Ten Club! Sorry I ever doubted you! Membership definitely has its privileges.

    Ft worth brought it both nights, I had great time meeting people, stock yards etc

    just got to Austin for game tonight
    cowboys tomorrow 

    why the fuck did no one ever tell me about Buck ees

    my god what a scene, it’s beef jersey selection alone was nuts… all kinds of goodies, fantastic meat smells… other things

    so many people in there, more chaotic than GA last night

    gotta go there again 🤠

    Glad you got to experience it.  HTI is such a fantastic song.  I see you had HTI, Wash, and Oceans on your list and if you had been able to go to to Camden last year you would have knocked out all 3 within the first 4 songs.  I was there but unfortunately I was not in the right frame of mind at the time to actually enjoy it at all.  Last night I was doing much better and actually got to enjoy it this time around.  It was incredible to get to not only hear it but watch them play it when they stood up from the stools at different times and watching Matt absolutely nailing the ending part and thinking "I am so glad he is back!." and "I can actually enjoy it this time around!".
