was it a rat or a big muff?
standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

He used the Fender Blender as well and they just re-issued it, there is a better clone on the market, let me know if you are interested. D*A*M can do the early Big Muffs and Skreddy nails the rams head with his box called Ernie.

Marshalls and Boogies! The Wall of Noise is a very interesting concept and controll is something that is usually just tossed out the window, if you listen carefully you will notice the huge amounts of compression. Corgan played many tunes in drop d with a capo, so getting a good transcipt is 99% of the battle when trying to play SP. I am shocked that some of the stuff being sold is blessed by the band, it is completly wrong!
There are also typically many guitar tracks layered on every tune, so you have to really pay attention to what you are hearing. At the end of the day, it all adds up to the Wall of Noise!
