My jim dunlop gcb95 wah wah died a strange death a year ago so for a while i was without a wah:( a couple of months ago i was asked to join a band so i decided to get a replacement wah off of ebay i decided not to get another crybaby as i was pretty annoyed that literally a few weeks after the warranty ran out it died so i got got a morley. The guy i got from off of ebay shipped it a few weeks ago and said it would take 6-10days to arrive....that was on the 1st of this month. My band has its first gig tonight (gotta leave as soon as i finish writing this) and the pedal still hadnt turned up!!! ive recently for rehearsals been borrowing a mates jim dunlop much to my hatred of these pedals so yesterday i once again got in touch and arranged to borrow it for our first gig tonight. but....got home from work this evening and there it was! a nice shiny morley power wah waiting for me just in the nick of time;) talk about cutting it close hahaa!!! anyway gotta go....wish me luck!
I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?

good luck. I've had my morley for years. Virtually indestructable. I believe you can mod the sweep by taping the gate on the bottom of the treadle. I'll post pics tonight. I have a Bad Horsie Wah. I'd love to change the inductor.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I still prefer Vox wahs, but the Morley is probably the funkiest of the bunch. They are great pedals... my buddy was in a jam-funk group in high school, and he swore by his Morley wah. It always worked, and always sounded great. Good luck! Let us know how it behaved at it's first show...
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

I'm wanting to try the contour wah. I like the way the vox's look better but in all honesty if you can warm up the Q like the guys at morley told me you could the morley is flat out a better design. With a modded inductor in may be perfect. No switches no pot. Clean. Also it has a strong output too without coloring the rest of the chain. It does however beg to be compressed, high end is too sharp.

No radio station sound no scratchiness built like a tank.....

Yeah, but if Vox wahs were good enough for SRV...

Man, that dude just plain tore shit apart... if it had a weak spot, Stevie found it and sent it packing. Plus they just have a great blues-wah tone. And for us guys without a solder addiction...

I hear ya on the compression with the Morley. The top end of those things are pretty bright. For funk, it's not bad, but for anything else... man...

Yeah but SRV's Vox's were also heavily modded. If you want that tone the RMC 1 is it. The classic SRV/Hendrix wah tone.

Well, if it's good enough for Dimebag Darrell...

It's something I would never play on, that's for sure. But I don't generally like wah, anyways.

well the gig went great! and yeah the morley performed wonderfully! :)much more satisfying to use than a crybaby! none of that high end hiss! and the added bonus of the gain control really helped to bring my solos out more and kick through the mix!;) only thing that is gonna take a while to get used too is the side placed activation switch but it wont take me long as i love stomping on little boxes;)
