lap steel help needed

hey guys. bit of a weird one this. After 16 years of playing guitar i recently picked this dirt cheap lap steel up from ebay

and as much fun as it is just making silly whale like noises on it i want to really get into playing it properly and i was wondering if anyone out there knows of any good sites with lessons advice etc to help me out. Im a huge ben harper and ryan adams fan so a lap steel was going to come into my collection at some point

I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?
