I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?

Girlfriends are great, but they grow up to be wives.

    Hahaha

That kind of reminds me. My father had a bit of a rating system, good for a night, good for a weekend, good for a year. I always think of that when I'm sizing someone up. It's bad. My father messed me up.

  • nice! gotta love the ladies that give you great gifts!

Last night I got my christmas gift early from my girl...Paul Westerberg signature guitar! It's actually pretty cool for what it is and how much it goes for! i don't even need to mention that Paul is a musical god.

  • My ex-girlfriend bought me a footswitch for my fender amp. Her step dad gave me a vintage, original Yamaha MB-3 Motion Bass, AND a Peavy TNT 130 Bass amp. Her dad records me playing in his basement too! Keep in mind we were already broken up. I'm glad we're still friends :)

If she does that again next year, you got someone special. It's funny how after the first year of a relationship, the things that were cute and nice cease to happen.

I didn't mean training in that sense of teaching her how to get me gifts, more in the sense of what gear is good, and what isn't!

My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

well, my wife just helped me buy a les paul. so there!

yup, I talked my wife into getting me a used les paul for Christmas too ($1300). and when I gave her the engagement ring in 1998, I talked her into getting me an Strat ($800). AND I got a shiny new baby too (well, she's 10 months now, so not quite as shiny as she was. I guess you could say her condition is 'near mint/excellent').
