IMO the guitar god of our generation. Bonnamassa, meh. Satriani, meh. Kingfish is OK. But KWS is the progression of Jimi to Stevie to Kenny. I saw him when he was a teenager in the early 90’s. He was great then and still is.
If I had known then what I know now...

    Kenny Wayne Motherfucking Shepherd

Dudes got a long name... and he's a hell of a guitar player!

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

I saw Kenny a couple months ago with Joe B. opening.  KWS band blew them away.  I don't have a trained ear enough to declare who is a better player.  But i prefer Kennys style way more, and his songs are so much more enjoyable to listen to.  INMO.

My wife and i have seen him 12-15 times over the last 20 years.  He's become one our favorite acts to see!

I love KWS but Marcus King blows him away.

Just saw him a few weeks ago (think this was #5 or #6) and he’s better than ever. Kid is still in his 20’s too. Mind blowing.

I saw him open for some band that had an Allman in it back when he was 15. I saw him again in 2000 and took some cool photos. Will share tomorrow.
