RIP Robbie Robertson. I saw the Band play live once at Merriweather. It was a great show.

Went to see Gov’t Mule tonight and was sure that Warren Haynes was going to play I Shall Be Released or maybe The Weight for Robbie but unfortunately we didn’t get anything of the sort. Amazing show, though.

One of the great "Indians Who Rocked the World".  A major talent and huge loss- very sad.
    R.I.P. Robbie.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

    RIP.
We're losing great musicians at a far too alarming rate nowadays.
    This weekend we rock Portland

I watched 'Once Were Brothers' a couple nights ago (on APTN up here in Canada - well done APTN!!) for the first time since it was released. I forgot what an interesting (but sad) story the whole Band saga was. If there was one band I could go back in time to see it would be these guys.
