Pearl Jam the Baseball Team
In honor of the opening day (way to go Brewers), I think it's only fair that we analyze what baseball position each member of the band would play.
Eddie - 2nd Base. I think he'd bat in the 2 hole. He'd be that spark player that doesn't hit a lot of homers, but manufactures runs and legs out infield singles.
Mike - The cagey veteran catcher. The stoic, preverbial 'rock' of the team.
Stone - This is a tough one, but I'm going to say center field. Why? Because he has tremendous range.
Jeff - definitly 1st base. Power Hitter.
Matt - 3rd Base. I have no good reason.
Boom - Umm...bat boy.

If you include all of the band's former drummers I think you could have a full team. Can't escape from the common rule...
If you hate something, don't you do it too0 -
I think Jeff played either 2nd or SS in the celebrity softball games years back- and he scored an error!!!!EagleEar wrote:In honor of the opening day (way to go Brewers), I think it's only fair that we analyze what baseball position each member of the band would play.

I'm scout Stephen Flow... howdy... here's who we'd have for the lineup!
Ed - Short Stop... I think Ed has the agility to make some great stops/catches at short stop and I can see him stealing the hell out of bases as a pinch runner if need be.
Mike - 2nd Base... He'd surely dive for something between 1st and 2nd base... I think he'd have a good arm for throwing a runner out at home.
Stone - 3rd Base... Only b/c I can see him trying his hardest to catch infield pop-flys.
Jeff - 1st Base... Power Hitter and great plays @ 1st b/c of his size.
Matt - Catcher, because he plays behind the band and has strong legs from playing drums and that's great for having to be in catchers position constantly.
Boom - Designated Hitter (DH), can't field b/c he has bad knees... but he could put the Hawaiian punch on some long balls.
and they wouldn't need any outfielders because they'd probably be playing against other bands lol.0
