I thank them both for making music that has been, and will always be, part of the soundtrack of my life.
Today is also the day that the Temple Of The Dog tour was announced in 2016.
My mom passed away, very suddenly and very unexpectedly, in June of 2016. I was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted when the tour was announced.

It was the exact jolt to my system that I needed, one that I didn't even think was possible.
I was lucky enough to see the MSG show, where I caught one of Matt's wristbands, and both Seattle shows.
Before the first Seattle show, I met Jeff at Easy Street Records. I told him that I knew what he was going through, since he was touring on a record that was born out of heartbreak. I thanked him, and told him that the band's music has always been there for me, and was helping me heal. He said he was grateful for that.

May your days be long, til kingdom come.
