Jeff Ament not only plays bass in Pearl Jam, but he’s been an avid skateboarder since he was a teenager. He’s spent the last 10 years humbly funding the construction of 27 skateparks across his home state of Montana. The majority of the state is rural, and Montana has one of the highest suicide rates in the US. - these parks have provided a safe-haven for kids to form a strong sense of community, self-worth and belonging.
