    I always thought it was the funnest part. But then again, I've never been in a band. I just made up names for the hell of it.

    Type a random but clean and lawful word or phrase into all your search engines and, if you don't find any relevant hits, then you know no-one can sue you for stealing another's ideas and that you've found an ideal, "original" band name.

    Adding the word "band" to that search tends to identify if anyone has the name.

    The Mendicants is my band name,...i like it, but every time i tell it to people they look at me goofy and ask "what?",...it's meaning is a person who begs for a living, i thought it was pretty cool and fitting, but who knows
