do i really have to give this shit company my SS number after selling my F2F tickets? I just got a request to fill out the 1099k even though I'm well below the $650 fed limit?
I also don't really understand why it needs filled out for breaking even. I had to sell tickets to an event earlier in the year that I took a loss on. Is this going to be counted as "profit"?
They are required to report payments. It's not really feasible for the payer in this situation, which includes companies like stubhub and ebay, to keep track of the recipient's cost. It's up to the taxpayer to track the cost and show that there was a net zero or a loss.
Not only is it not feasible the government wants that burden on Joe Taxpayer who may screw it up.

Ok. In my case I bought and sold them on Ticketmaster so I thought maybe their system could recognize the loss. They were like $8 tickets to a college gymnastics event, that I sold for maybe half that. I was just annoyed and surprised I had to fill out a tax form.
words seem so out of place.

I will likely be posting a MSP1 pair in section 101. If anyone is interested in setting up a time DM me. If anyone has a Chicago 2 or Indy extra to offer me a chance to get that would be even better.

I've got a pair of STP N2 Floor Left R21. Looking to trade for decent seats (better than 318) for CHI N2. If no interest in the coming days, will post again here before drop.
I'll be posting Sec 219 row F around noon. Will post here when they're up.
These are up!
I got them. I will probably be going solo, so one of them might be up going back for resale at some point. Or if someone is going solo and has a decent pair for night 2 and needs a ticket for night 1, maybe we can work out something for going in together both nights.
