Watching A League of Their Own with my fam tonight (I would argue best baseball movie of all time) and a Billy Joel song comes …… in 1943. I’ve been watching this movie for 30 years and just noticed. Play Future Days already in The Last or Us. nobody fucking cares about timelines

I mean you could do it, even within the TV show timeline.  Show joel searching a home for supplies and stumbling upon a demo tape. Maybe the members of PJ stuck around for a bit, and made one.

I think the only people who would care if the timeline didn’t work would be people on this board. Generally people won’t care as long as they can connect the song meaning to the story line.

Whenever people argue Die Hard is a Christmas movie because it takes place on Christmas, my retort is do you consider A League of Their Own a war movie?

If we’re going to bend the timeline then let’s do it for a really great song.  All or None making it into an episode was so cool because it was a surprise as well as being a way better song than Future Days.

They should keep the Riot Act album spinning and use Cropduster next… thematically it’s right on the nose for the show.

I think it would be cool if they swapped out Joel singing Thin Air. Fits in with the time-line and the lyrics are fitting.

I don't, but I consider The Naked Gun to be a Baseball Movie! Maybe the best ever baseball movie!  =D
