After all, we have been through this week and after all the other shenanigans Ticketmaster has tried to pull. How has this not been a documentary? I know it has been covered (John Oliver etc.) but after the whole Bruce, Taylor Swift thing and now this how has this not hit Youtube or something as one of the biggest ticket blunders? When is enough, enough? I am glad Ten Club is trying to fix it for the fans but man, something has to give. This sh*t is bananas!

After the Taylor Swift thing (or T-Swizzle for the kids), I thought by now 60 Minutes would do an expose on Ticketmaster, between bots, algorithms and premium tickets and the surrounding nonsense.
  • Everyone knows exactly what Ticketmaster is and how they do business. It doesn’t make it right, but it is just concert tickets. We can choose not to be involved.

It’s really up to the artists to put their foot down see Robert Smith! Until these artists start saying enough is enough fans loose out! Springsteen folded like a cheap napkin and I guess PJ falls on the same boat, I know they tried back in the day and yes this should be exposed via a documentary

Because no matter how frustrating it feels, it's really not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. And nobody would care except us.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Bunch of white privileged humans, clicking on a computer TRYING to "just get in the building", then bitch about costs and seat locations and threatening to never ever be a swifty or a 10C member AT 35$ a year?   Do you know who I am?????  Yeah.   #SundanceFestival or BUST!

I guess what I really want to address is the overall picture and climate. If it’s not Bruce, it's Swift; if it’s not Swift, it’s Pearl Jam, etc. Remember when buying tickets and going to concerts was fun? Now it seems like an elitist experience. What happened to playing small clubs? What happened to play for the love of music? I know they played the Apollo etc., and I am not saying the boys are like this, but Ticketmaster finds something and exploits it. They own the right to sell tickets at small venues, and large venues, and heck even buys venues to keep this going. The reason why it gets me is because my kids need to see this, they need to experience live music, but I guess it comes at a premium, such as the way of the world. I just remember growing up and it didn’t seem this hard or this expensive.

    Two things can be true.

These are first world problems. And yet… this is a spectacular failure from an organization who charges outrageous “services fees” to process our transactions.

Oh! I am not arguing this. There are so many other problems in the world. But when people work hard for thier money and want to let loose at a rock show it is becoming harder/ more complicated/ more expensive to do so. I am happy if I can go to one show a year and take a good friend or family member to enjoy the experience!

I am not laughing about it. The same thing is happing to U2 right now. With all the technology in the world should not be this hard to facilitate this. It is frustrating and I feel bad for the people being double and triple changed and not getting tickets and moving tickets around etc.

Somehow ticketmaster did better in 2020 and 2022 on their first try at this with only one botched show - Oakland - where priority people were left out behind very low priority folks and they acknowledged and fixed it same day.

All Ticketmaster does is sell tickets.  And they massively screwed it up.  99% of the people commenting here have this in the proper perspective... namely that its upsetting and frustrating to potentially miss out on tickets and/or the correct seating assignments.  Let's not clobber everyone who has a complaint like a baby seal on the beach just because there are a handful of people losing their minds over it.
