Hi everyone: I know that PJ just announced 9 shows in the fall, but does anyone have any credible insight on whether they will add a New England-area show this year? I live in Boston but will drive to ME, CT, RI etc.
I'm in CT. Was really hoping for one this year, especially since I got shut out of all of the sales last year for the makeup shows.
My Pearl Jam Road: 10/22/90 Seattle | 12/22/90 Seattle, Moore Theater | 9/29/92 Seattle, Magnusson Park, Drop in the Park | 9/5/93 The Gorge, with Neil Young and Blind Melon | 7/20/06 Portland, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with Sleater-Kinney | 7/22/06 The Gorge, 10/21/06 Mountain View, Shoreline Ampitheatre, Bridge School Benefit | 9/21/09 Seattle | 9/22/09 Seattle | 9/26/09 Portland, OR | 7/14/2011 Eddie Vedder, Portland, OR | 11/29/13 Portland, OR
Not everyone can, for all kinds of reasons. Family, work, finances, health, often some combo of the above. Personally, I’m game for a 3-5 hour drive but anything requiring a plane is a non-starter at this moment in my life. For the first 24 or so years of the band’s life that was doable to see them every 2 or 3 years but that hasn’t been true in the northeast in a decade. But the rust belt, the southeast and the PNW are all in the same boat now.
They just don’t play enough shows anymore.
I’m hopeful there will indeed be a full-blown real album world tour next year.
Ok well the reality is that it doesn’t matter what the ticket prices are, if they are only gonna play a handful of shows in limited markets they are pricing out a huge section of the fanbase as surely as Springsteen or Swift or Styles are. It’s just a different expense on the bank’s statement.
It’s nice for you that you can afford it. Not everyone can. It doesn’t make you a bigger fan and you don’t have to be rude about it.

Whether you can afford it or not. Not a great financial choice.
There is a wide range of what "can afford it" actually means

Well, he isn’t wrong. New England has been spoiled rotten with shows over the band’s history. It's finally time to give other regions of the country their share and you all can travel for once. Sorry for the tough love but it sounds like it’s needed here for the entitled.

People are just bummed when a tour is announced and there isn't a show nearby. It's easy to get myopic around here but jumping on a plane for a random arena show is a 99th percentile concert attendee move. It's bizarre to read that as "entitlement" that requires "tough love."

Jokes on you. Without Northeast shows we’re flying to Texas and making it harder for you to get tickets.

You are way too salty for someone who just had four shows announced in your state. Put in your requests and attempt to enjoy yourself!

You’ve got your shows. Looking forward to never hearing from you again on this subject after September. This is not a contest. Your favorite band has been depriving you of shows in your state, not your fellow fans.

MSG, Camden/Philly & Fenway are NOT the whole East Coast. The rest of us haven’t gotten shows in 10 yrs+ either. They’ve averaged about 8.7 shows per year since ‘16. No one except Cali has gotten enough shows in a decade. So let’s all be on the same side. I’m thrilled for the 5 cities getting them, I don’t think the East Coast, the Rust Belt, the PNW/Western Canada etc should be getting shows INSTEAD of Texas, I think they should play more than 9 shows. We’re all in the same foxhole here. I want everybody to get shows.

💯 agree my friend. My bad for comparing but it’s the first time in over twenty years we haven’t had to fly to another city to see the band that wasn’t a festival. Anyway, I hope you all get tickets to your destination shows.
When I saw Toad the Wet Sprocket, Gin Blossoms and Barenaked Ladies at Bank of NH Pavilion last summer, the artists were really putting over the venue and scenery and how it's the new hot spot. I wouldn't be shocked if PJ plays there at least once as a bucket list thing since it truly has become a revered venue amongst artists recently. Will be a tough ticket for sure.
But they love to play Hartford and the Boston area so I gotta say they'll play at one of the venues at some point.

What you see is what you get. If there were more TBA shows this year, we'd be hearing about leaks.
Keep in mind there was a rumored spring 2023 tour and *I think* that was going to include your area.
