Real cabinet of the people, eh? You guys are about to get Royally fucked and some won’t realize it while others will say, “please sir, may I have some more?” From Letter From An American:

The change in ideology is clear from Trump’s cabinet picks. While the total net worth of the officials in Biden’s Cabinet was about $118 million, Laura Mannweiler of U.S. News and World Report noted, a week ago she estimated the worth of Trump’s roster of appointees to be at least $344.4 billion, more than the gross domestic product of 169 countries. That number did not include his pick for treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, whose net worth is hard to find.

Maybe Bernie can go find a dem or two or three to blame?

That's because Biden is a loser and not a successful businessman like Trump. He couldn't get the caliber of people Trump can (probably what the MAGA voters are thinking).
    It's a hopeless situation...

Question I’ve asked Trump supports: If Trump is such an amazing business person, why have no Fortune 100 companies ever asked him sit on their board of directors?

Usually it results in funny looks…

it is a good question.  In fact, forget Fortune 100.  Are there any publicly traded companies that ever had him on the board?

About the cabinet picks, how are they doing?

    Gaetz - gone
Hegswerth - Hmm.  So he's in so much trouble his MOTHER is on Fox news defending him and she is calling Republican senators.  That's right, the ultra alpha male is being shopped on Capitol Hill by his MOTHER!

77,234,701 voters seemed to be fooled into believing that.  America, land of the foolishly gullible.
Perhaps they will learn... at all of our expense.  Gonna be a strange next 4 years.

We can’t afford eggs and bread as @shecky tells us, but eighty million Americans were able spend money to travel for thanksgiving, record breaking air travel and more than who voted for either candidate. Go figure.

F*ck, that's easy to explain. People are so elated that Trump won the election that they FEEL rich again! They know the next four years are gonna be awesome so, let's splurge a little bit and enjoy life again! Bye, bye Brandon!

Nonsense.  Look at the number beyond the last month.  Beyond the last several month.  Americans in general have done better under the Biden administrations.
You're going with the low bar again with your trolling.  No one is going to take that stuff seriously.  Man, you and your MAGA friends  are in for some real bummer days when the shit starts falling apart.  Either that, or you're just getting your last licks in.  Oh well.  Enjoy your short-lived party I guess.  Whatever.  Me, I'm still gliding.

Well, I guess that explains why Joey won the election in a landslide. Oh, wait a minute, it was Trump who did that. I'm so confused...

Jack Rabid's editorial, "American Self-Sabotage, and The Double Standard That Helps It Along"  in The Bigtakeover issue #95 is  excellent.  Jack sums up the absurdity of this last election, clearly illustrates how America has self-sabotaged, and points out why the results of voting in the Felon for a second term will be catastrophic, particularly for a large number of people who voted him his.  The folly of this whole thing is beyond crazy.  Great read, highly recommended.

Thanks! And the 1st thing I see is an article about one of my favorites Nada Surf

Wait. I did not know we had that in common. I freaking love Nada Surf. When they play the Bowery Ballroom I am always there. I did not realize they have a new record out. Will give it a spin.

Check out that issue of The Big Takeover as well if you get a chance.  Excellent article on Nada Surf.  Bumped them up on my radar, that's for sure!  And the whole issue is great (having been a subscriber for 22 years, I might be a bit biased, so I think they're all great, but this latest issue is way up there!)

I would love to read it. But it is not free.

Am I missing something here?  Why would Jack Rabid's work be free?  It's how he makes his living.

“Jobless claims show extremely low layoffs and little sign of trouble for U.S. economy”

Uh oh, I thought everything was crumbling because of Biden and the orange clown was going to fix it all.

C'mon, if anything people are furious the wealthy are manipulating them and can't figure out which party has  their claws into more, the Rs or the Ds. Anyone "jumping for joy" over a politician is a lost soul, how such a wealthy country can have so many people without basic necessities.

Maybe it's time we are due for a horrific assassination of a wealthy executive specializing in denying people healthcare while making billions upon billions in profits and investigated for personally profiting from this scheme (insider trading) to have a serious conversation about political parties and the abuse of it's citizens. Probably not.

They can ask Chrystia Freeland for tips on how to market the idea. Actually, given how the “vibecession” has been taken maybe they shouldn’t, lol.

It's such a great publication. And chock full of great articles and a big review section in the bag.  It's only come out a few times a year but it's not a skinny publication (#95, the Nada Surf issue is 152 pages).  And only 7 bucks:

And, no, I don't get a commission for promoting Jack's magazine.

That’s such an awful argument. You can’t be serious.
The Finance Minister in Canada just told us that we’re experiencing a “vibecession”. She said it seriously, at any rate.
I don't know what that means.

Our Finance Minister (and deputy Prime Minister) last week asserted that the current problem with the Canadian economy was people weren’t feeling confident in the economy, despite some data showing growth, and she called it a vibecession, sort of the opposite of what’s being suggested here. Some of America isn’t feeling the strong economy and need to adjust their “vibes” seems to be the suggestion (not making any statement on the state of your economy myself).

Unfortunately Freeland didn’t acknowledge that per capita GDP is down, meaning individual purchasing power is reduced. So she’s essentially wrong in my opinion.

The whole concept is silly to me, either way it swings.
