    honest question though. why would trump even consider paying for legal defense of the co-defendants? they knew what they were getting in to.

    hell, rudy's shitty lawyering is part of the reason trump is in the legal storm he is in. rudy did a terrible job and i would argue that he does not deserve to be paid.

    I guess when the constitution was written our forefathers never imagined that our country would be (hate the word stupid but) enough to vote for a felon. Nevertheless, here we are.

    equally as troubling is that in all but 2 states (exceptions in others) felons are not permitted to vote once paroled but nothing about being president.  Crazy stuff.  

    Now I didn’t check every state for disqualification laws so don’t jump all over my ass.  I think everyone knows what I’m getting at.

    The Constitution anticipated Trump. But it assumed good faith amongst other officials charged with executing checks and balances. It did not anticipate a critical mass stepping aside and letting him be him.
