Jack Rabid's editorial, "American Self-Sabotage, and The Double Standard That Helps It Along"  in The Bigtakeover issue #95 is  excellent.  Jack sums up the absurdity of this last election, clearly illustrates how America has self-sabotaged, and points out why the results of voting in the Felon for a second term will be catastrophic, particularly for a large number of people who voted him his.  The folly of this whole thing is beyond crazy.  Great read, highly recommended.

Thanks! And the 1st thing I see is an article about one of my favorites Nada Surf

Wait. I did not know we had that in common. I freaking love Nada Surf. When they play the Bowery Ballroom I am always there. I did not realize they have a new record out. Will give it a spin.

Check out that issue of The Big Takeover as well if you get a chance.  Excellent article on Nada Surf.  Bumped them up on my radar, that's for sure!  And the whole issue is great (having been a subscriber for 22 years, I might be a bit biased, so I think they're all great, but this latest issue is way up there!)

I would love to read it. But it is not free.

Am I missing something here?  Why would Jack Rabid's work be free?  It's how he makes his living.

Uh oh, I thought everything was crumbling because of Biden and the orange clown was going to fix it all.

We can’t afford eggs and bread as @shecky tells us, but eighty million Americans were able spend money to travel for thanksgiving, record breaking air travel and more than who voted for either candidate. Go figure.
F*ck, that's easy to explain. People are so elated that Trump won the election that they FEEL rich again! They know the next four years are gonna be awesome so, let's splurge a little bit and enjoy life again! Bye, bye Brandon!

C'mon, if anything people are furious the wealthy are manipulating them and can't figure out which party has  their claws into more, the Rs or the Ds. Anyone "jumping for joy" over a politician is a lost soul, how such a wealthy country can have so many people without basic necessities.

Maybe it's time we are due for a horrific assassination of a wealthy executive specializing in denying people healthcare while making billions upon billions in profits and investigated for personally profiting from this scheme (insider trading) to have a serious conversation about political parties and the abuse of it's citizens. Probably not.

They can ask Chrystia Freeland for tips on how to market the idea. Actually, given how the “vibecession” has been taken maybe they shouldn’t, lol.

It's such a great publication. And chock full of great articles and a big review section in the bag.  It's only come out a few times a year but it's not a skinny publication (#95, the Nada Surf issue is 152 pages).  And only 7 bucks:

And, no, I don't get a commission for promoting Jack's magazine.

That’s such an awful argument. You can’t be serious.
The Finance Minister in Canada just told us that we’re experiencing a “vibecession”. She said it seriously, at any rate.
I don't know what that means.

Our Finance Minister (and deputy Prime Minister) last week asserted that the current problem with the Canadian economy was people weren’t feeling confident in the economy, despite some data showing growth, and she called it a vibecession, sort of the opposite of what’s being suggested here. Some of America isn’t feeling the strong economy and need to adjust their “vibes” seems to be the suggestion (not making any statement on the state of your economy myself).

Unfortunately Freeland didn’t acknowledge that per capita GDP is down, meaning individual purchasing power is reduced. So she’s essentially wrong in my opinion.

The whole concept is silly to me, either way it swings.

    Welcome to ‘Murikkka.

This is not the first time Trump has threatened members of the committee. In March 2023, he posted on Truth Social that they “should be prosecuted for their lies and, quite frankly, TREASON!”

He has repeatedly expressed interest in jailing Cheney — a longtime Republican who lost her seat in Congress after refusing to excuse Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Cheney endorsed and campaigned with Vice President Kamala Harristhis election cycle, further infuriating Trump.

Representatives for Cheney, Kinzinger and Thompson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Trump also said he would let Bondi “do what she wants to do” regarding an investigation into Jack Smith, the special counsel assigned by Attorney General Merrick Garland to pursue two federal prosecutions against Trump. Trump has previously said he would like to fire Smith’s entire team, including career attorneys typically protected from political retribution, according to two individuals close to Trump’s transition.

When Welker asked if Trump wanted to see Smith in prison, he said, “I think he’s very corrupt but I want [Bondi] to do whatever she … wants to do.”

He added, “I’m not going to instruct her to do it.”

Welker also asked Trump if he’s willing to finally concede the 2020 election “for the sake of unifying this country.”

“No, why would I do that?” Trump replied.

He then blamed Biden for any divisions in the country, baselessly accusing him of “weaponizing” the Justice Department after the department launched investigations into his efforts to reverse the results of the 2020 election as well as his alleged mishandling of classified documents after he left the White House.

Biden “went after his political opponent violently because he knew he couldn’t beat him,” Trump said. “And I think it really was a bad thing.”

“But gosh, why would Cheney need a preemptive pardon unless she’s guilty?” - words of those unable to reason.

He’s never ever made a mistake or if he has like the 2020 election lie he’ll never admit to being wrong! Why would I do that comment is proof that he’s incapable of admitting a mistake or acknowledging the truth! It worked to perfection with his base just keep telling them the sky is yellow long enough they’ll believe you

I really don't know why any legitimate news organization interviews this idiot. If they aren't willing to hold his feet to the fire just don't fucking do it.

The bullshit he was spewing about Obamacare was just a straight up lie. He says Obamacare was horrible and they are going to do something better but cheaper. How? He just repeats this over and over and does nothing. The only way to do it cheaper would be the medicare for all route...why didn't Welker press him on that? She just lets him railroad her with his bullshit. Who cares if he won't grant another interview, that's inevitable...make him answer the fucking question.

That’s the biggest issue, his supporters aren’t smart enough to fact check or think critically so they just believe any garbage he spews as fact.

More lies exposed on the fuckface in chief. I noticed that Macron was just slightly shorter than trump when they were together and he's 5'10".

It seems like trump has abandoned his lifts that made him lean forward. What a fucking fake.
