All I did was say I was unaware this was a thing being shared that people actually believed until now. Were you aware of these stores before the debate? I had no idea these were stories being shared and believed by people until I spoke with someone who believes it. I thought it was Trump just rambling something off, but apparently this has been a thing for maga they believe being shared in their right wing circles. I had no idea. All I did was say I was unaware this was a thing being shared that people actually believed until now. Were you aware of these stores before the debate?
I had no idea these were stories being shared and believed by people until I spoke with someone who believes it.
I thought it was Trump just rambling something off, but apparently this has been a thing for maga they believe being shared in their right wing circles. I had no idea. I was surprised to learn this wasn’t new “information” for a lot of people. Maybe a lot of people here follow that stuff and already knew, I didn’t.

The question is not "can you believe that immigrants are abducting and slaughtering animals," it's "why was this suddenly a matter of extreme, debate-worthy mention importance?"

Vance has been pushing this story since before the debate; I knew exactly what trump was talking about when he brought it up Tuesday night and I'm not alone. Do your own homework as to where and when it was reported.

If it was everywhere, give me one example outside social media where you saw it. Should be easy. I can claim the sky is blue and I get asked for sources from people here. Just give me one report from Monday or before where this was a story outside social media.
All the stories I’ve come across are linked to social media or local news covering the arrest. I can’t expect to follow local news around the country.

It does bring up what was obvious in the debate. Trump is deep, deep into the social media ecosystem of lies. Not just this, but his statement on the crime rate was another right wing conspiracy lie. They claim that big cities aren't reporting their stats to the FBI, that's why crime is down. It's total nonsense and only alive in the fever swamps, but that's where he dwells.
I didn’t say Trump and Vance didn’t talk about it. I said it was a story being pushed by the maga circle that I hadn’t heard prior to the debate, and I assumed many others hadn’t either.
What exactly are we even arguing? I’m asking what news outlets should I expand my resources to include so I would have heard of this story and you won’t answer.
Both NBC and Forbes (at least) were reporting Vance's claims about Haitians eating pets in advance of the debate, but I digress.
Having said that. I think dismissing these lies as just something believed by a subculture or 'extreme' fringe group is irresponsible considering the way the GOP ticket is pushing the narrative. (& anyone who's been paying a minimal amount of attention these last 8 years know exactly why they're pushing it)
