Funko says that they'll still make movie posters. Funko sales have slipped but the posters were making money so what does the company do? They lay off the money makers. Good business model.
Funko threw out inventory and deemed it cheaper than to warehouse it.
I saw something days back that Gamespot was going under. When you go into these video game stores, 60% of stock in store is Funko Pop. They are taking over and pretty much killing the market. I remember the last time visiting Music World. They had more Funko Pop toys then music CDs. It sucks! Folks need to not sell their items.
It should be interesting to see what happens to their poster division once they remove the limited editions. My guess is funko is going to crank up the run numbers and kill the golden goose.

Definitely an interesting discussion as we always debate here the aspect of limited driving the madness vs printing enough to satisfy demand.

They’ve done a lot more timed editions. I’m guessing we’ll see more of that.

Alamo Drafthouse (Mondo's parent company) sold Mondo off because AD had some serious financial troubles.
Funko claimed it was only a top-level change, that nothing would differ in the actual day-to-day, but that was clearly BS.
