A tour of a city...not impossible, but we all can wish one.

in The Porch
Twenty One Pilots (I think it was them) did a tour of Columbus a few years ago where they played a really tiny club, then two other clubs and finished at Ohio State's arena and the city's arena.
So... I'm thinking and spitballing here. Yeah, it'd be awesome. Maybe do a small club for one or two nights for 10C members of that city, then a shed/smaller stadium for a night, then finish with 2-3 nights in arenas.
It's not gonna happen, but it'd be fun.
LA, NY, Dallas (Frisco's soccer stadium has a stage) could all easily do it.
I'm surprised no other band AFAIK has done this concept. Sure, you'll get 2-3 nights, but it's always the same venue. I'd imagine it'd be fairly cost-prohibitive, but you wouldn't need all the gear. The smaller clubs could easily be stripped back shows. You'd really just need 2-3 guitars per member, drums and enough amps to fill the space with sound.
I wonder if it ever crossed their mind once they started regularly touring. Heck, maybe do a Metallica concept where there's multiple nights in a few different cities, but each night is a different venue. One "for the local fans" and one "big city."
It's not like 10C doesn't have our addresses. I'd think it'd be easy enough to get a relatively fail-proof system.

Fun idea, but everyone wants a small venue show until they’re shut out of that show and can’t get tickets. I’m happy seeing Pearl Jam in arenas.

I was lucky enough to see the Pearl Jam show at the Vic Theatre in 2007. Great experience but they play so few shows it would be a mess getting tickets. Really felt for people that put the time in that day trying to get in without success, especially the locals. Any time bands of this stature play small venues, people will be shut out and unhappy.

I saw them at The Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA.
"...I changed by not changing at all..."
Also a good point. Even if it was something basic like $5 for a single camera on the balcony, you'd need a way for others to go.
Same! Was hot as fu*k

There's a very good reason that building gets shuttered for the summer.

Just saying it is not impossible. The Apollo was not that long ago.
Yeah, it *was* part of the tour, but didn't SiriusXM handle 100% of the admission?
What comes to mind is Meadowlands Arena, where PJ played a show on 2010. The building is still standing, but I'd imagine it's a mess by now.
2-3 shows at tiny place like The Apollo for 10C members only. I figure that they'd probably want to give priority for longest-tenured or local 10C members.
2-3 shows at MSG.
2-3 shows at Barclay's.
2-3 shows at Yankee Stadium
2-3 shows at UBS (where the Islanders play)
Assuming the arena is not a hot mess, 2-3 shows at Meadowlands as "The Final Shows" (think Spectrum 2009.)
You can put your name in for as many shows as you want, but no 10C member is guaranteed a second show until all requests are satisfied. (Example: If you get MSG 2, every other person's first request must be satisfied before you'd be considered for Barclay's 3. It'd be like the 2013-2016 system.)
Sidenote...is there any chance of a show at Belmont Park? That infield is gigantic...or do they not do shows?
Sadly...the way they tour, that'd be just about the entire year of touring.
Ah ha!
I was thinking of the Prudential Center.
So...the Meadowlands is out. (I assume all the seats are gone and it's been heavily renovated every time it's been used.)
But the Prudential Center could be in, right?
2-3 shows at a tiny place like The Apollo for 10C members only. I figure that they'd probably want to give priority for longest-tenured or local 10C members.

2-3 shows at the Prudential Center.
Even if the giant-ass horse track is out, 14-21 shows around the NYC area would be epic.
Something like Belmont Park could probably accommodate a shitload of 10C... assuming they host bands the scale of PJ.
Y'all want a residency, right?
Accomodate everyone's first priority, then move to second, third, etc... exactly like how it was for the Lightning Bolt tours.
And yeah, the small show might be based entirely on member number outside of the arena shows. The lowest member numbers who request tickets have the best chance of getting in. Everything else is random, but seat assignments would be priority.
The Apollo shows: Anyone could request. Lowest members who request get in to one night only. Random as to who gets what show. The lowest number might get the first show. Members 2-10 might get the second.
Hypothetically, I put in for both. If there's seats left when I'm next in line, I get assigned to a random show.
Arena/Stadium Shows: Any member could request any show. However, you don't get a second show unless everyone's first priority is fulfilled.
Belmont: Any member is eligible, no matter what show(s) they've been to during the residency. Maybe you win Yankee Stadium 1, Shea Stadium 2, UBS night 3. Maybe you go 0/5. Both people would have equal eligibility for Belmont.
I saw the Arctic Monkeys US debut there. Back when they were a good band.
