I haven't looked it up, a friend of friend wants to trade this amp for my Roland, 7-speakers which I don't use and will probably never use. Any thoughts appreciated.

depends on which goldtone and which roland (models) they are
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
  • Goldtones are great guitar amps. Like Paco says, need the models.

7 speakers eh? Might be a good trade for extra space! You might have room for a pool table.

    Here's what he has -

    Gibson super goldtone amp
a 4 speaker cabinet that is made up
of (2) 10" Celestion drivers on the top
and (2) 12" Celestion Speakers on bottom.

    plus the
    The Gibson GA-30RVH Goltone Head
a 30 watt Class A amp. It uses nothing but tubes (no transistores).
So you get one of the greatest tube sounds currently available.
This amp is made in England and has a glassy clean sound
as well as one of the hottest overdrive sounds known.
It also has two channels that can be used for clean and
distortion or however you would like to set them up
because each channel has it's own boost and reverb controls.

FORGOT: The Roland is mines its a Roland D8900 D-Bass Bass Amplifier.

do it, its a good trade. The goldtone looks pretty sweet covered in black or blue leatherette. with gold lettering and gold grills. It's a good trade.

I'm actually working on that, so far I got two really good offers. One for the les paul which I hate, its way to heavy and one for the ricken, but it might be an even swap, right for left. We'll see.

  • I'm a little late, but
What a great trade. That Gibson is a wonderful amp. I never care to much about the look, but those things sound so great, and may inspire some new music out of you!
Getting a couple of righty's will be cool, too.
    Congratulations on a great trade.:)

I'm excited that someone here besides me is getting a decent speaker cabinet...

So, when are we gonna start a band?

    I have a great speaker cabinet... :)

That should be a nice amp though... I haven't played one in a while, but I am a sucker for a good el84 amp.

    They look great too.
