Overall a terrible president but he did try to save Palestine from being wiped off the map.
So you were old enough to suffer from his policies? What would you say made him terrible?
    It's a hopeless situation...

I have always thought of Carter as one of America's greatest presidents because he was the one with the kindest, truest heart. I also always felt sad about his presidency because the lovely man suffered from the curse of awful timing.
I wish his last few years had been less painful. I'm sure he wished he could have gone more peacefully after his wife died, rather than the slow death he went through. But such is life.
I will say, I am happy his death is taking attention away from Trump's inauguration. I doubt Carter would think that way, but he was a better person than me!

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

You can’t name a single policy of Carter’s administration heck you probably weren’t even born yet! It’s best you go post on the Trumpolinni thread and I bet you can’t name one of his policies that will help middle America

That's a good take...it was odd timing for sure. Reagan was kind of trumpy in a way although he wasn't completely cruel and he was intelligent.

The massive deficit spending started with Reagan. That's when republicans became the party of hypocrites because they continue to yammer about deficits when Dems are in power yet drive up more massive debt when they are in office.

I know he didn’t try to inject bleach into everybody’s bodies and then end up with 75 million people voting for him again. Sheep.
