I imagine part of it relates to whether they want to package and shipping more than 1000 posters. I don't really see that as a market setting decision. I will say that I don't quite understand why they don't just make it a limited time offer to 10c members since they haven't even been printed yet. The printer doesn't give a shit if they print 500 or 1324

Awww man!!! Missed this one. Ten club should buy the ones on eBay to try to find out which 10c members are scalping the posters….then cancel their memberships.

Take a minute, when you can, and think about why you are focusing on punishing people buying and selling the posters and having no focus on the fact that if more were printed you wouldn't have had to start your post with "Awww man!!!"
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
I'm happy I scored one. With the dimensions being 39 x 11.5 it will cost a pretty penny to frame, such a non standard size, but such an iconic PJ image and awesome tour. Congrats to those who scored.
Got to my email late (as in, about 10 minutes after I received it) and missed this. I almost wish that items like this were given a lottery or a pre-sale countdown. I know Santos is great about dropping hints beforehand, but life just gets in the way sometimes. Blah blah blah cry me a River I know lol. In the scheme of things big deal I missed out on a poster. How about this Ten Club? Reopen a new sale, for oh I don’t know, say a week, and print however many you sell then close it. It doesn’t even have to be as high quality a print if you feel the need to differentiate between the “first” and “second” printing…

How would they figure it out that way? Look at the return address once they get it and check their database? Seems like a lot of PI work for something they wouldn't care about.

Why should he focus on the 10c? 1000 posters seems like a lot to me. If it wasn't limited I doubt they would have sold that many. I wouldn't pay $50 for a poster that wasn't limited, would anyone?

Or at least list a warning before purchasing that if they get caught scalping they risk losing their membership. Ten Club does this for concert tickets. Should be extended to limited edition merchandise too.

I've always loved this image. It's hands down my favorite art work from any album cover. Soooooooo, not happy I missed this.

I thought about, and could of gotten one, but I had no need for it. I got this 5 or 6 years ago on Ebay for $35 I like it better
I have a saved search on eBay for that original one, which I had from the tour but managed to destroy over time. Fingers crossed I get lucky like you one of these days. I bought one of the new ones, but like the original one better.

I’ve always suggest art to frames, but they’ve really raised prices. I used to get a poster with a single mat and upgraded to the mid tier glass (framers quality) for about $50-55. Checked last night when I saw the sale and it’s about $80 now (after the discount). Going to go with the standard plexi I guess.
Cool print, 500 is a low number with this group. I get they finally have a surplus of posters in the shop and don’t want to lose money but show posters i don’t buy unless I was there and even then, meh. I would have loved this in my office. Oh well

(Verse 1)
Come all ye Pearl Jam fans, gather 'round and hear my tale
'Bout the limited edition poster, that quickly set sail
It was for the album Yield, a true work of art
But if you didn't act fast, it quickly did depart
(Chorus)
Oh, the Yield poster, it was a sight to see
But if you weren't quick enough, it was not meant to be
Fans lined up for hours, hoping to get a chance
But in the end, it sold out, leaving many in a trance
(Verse 2)
The design was so perfect, with colors bright and bold
A treasure for collectors, worth more than gold
The band knew the demand, they tried to meet the need
But even they were surprised, by how fast it did succeed
(Chorus)
Oh, the Yield poster, it was a sight to see
But if you weren't quick enough, it was not meant to be
Fans lined up for hours, hoping to get a chance
But in the end, it sold out, leaving many in a trance
(Bridge)
Now it hangs on walls, a symbol of dedication
A reminder of the power of anticipation
But for those who missed out, don't you fret or weep
For the spirit of Pearl Jam, it runs so very deep
(Chorus)
Oh, the Yield poster, it was a sight to see
But if you weren't quick enough, it was not meant to be
Fans lined up for hours, hoping to get a chance
But in the end, it sold out, leaving many in a trance
(Outro)
So let us sing this shanty, in honor of the poster so rare
And remember the lesson, that life is sometimes unfair
But when it comes to Pearl Jam, we'll never lose our zeal
For they will always be, the soundtrack of what's real.
