really dumb question-accoustic electrics

I get this "battery low" light that comes on on my accoustic electric. there's a battery in there?

    yup. acoustic pickups usually have a pre-amp that needs a 9V battery.

    i'm assuming you have panel mounting on the body with your volume, eq, etc. there should be a little door somewhere on it to access the battery.

    yeah i've a got a panel like that. I guess it has a door. doesn't really matter for my purposes, I was just wondering.
