Why not ban people temporarily instead of locking threads? A 30-day hiatus or something.

Let the discussions continue in a constructive way. 

I like hearing the different opinions people have on topics, issues, etc.

    It depends on why it's locked. Often it’s because they aren’t constructive.

    They do ban folks.  I was banned for 30 days a few years ago.  I was a bad boy.
