Cool.  I had a chance to see him a few years ago but didn't go.  Then he retires, then comes back, makes a country album that flops, lol.  Dude is a trip.

You can’t take anything he says seriously.  Everything is an act, sort of mocking the rest of the industry.  He’s 29 years old and I think the upcoming tour is his third “last tour ever” for his “last album ever” lol

There will be a new album and tour next year, and I think he will “retire” from country and make a pop punk, blink 182 like album next

I would like to make up the chili peppers show next year but it's seems the price has doubled and it is getting hard to justify going.

    Dinosaur!  How was the show?
    J, Murph, Lou!  Awesome!

Wow what a year in hindsight after 2.5 years of nothing. That Coachella experience, even though it severely lacked rock, was special.

    2 faves:

Jack Johnson in Detroit. Jack Johnson is one of a few artists where I can sing along or know most all the lyrics, so that made the experience enjoyable.

DBT in Kalamazoo. Had a blast at this show. First time seeing them live. I’m sure the 8 Two-Hearted Ales I drank enhanced my enjoyment, but just a perfect night. Great setlist, sounded great, and Patterson Hood seemed to be having fun, “Kalamazoo on a Sunday night!” or something to that effect. Dude is a good storyteller as well. Told an interesting story about Henry Fords connection to Muscle Shoals. I was hammered so forgot the details, still want to read up about that…

    Smashing Pumpkins & Jane's Addicition

My favorite 2 of the year were Limp Bizkit and PJ @ MSG.

LB was in a small room at the casino here in Tampa. Everyone in the crowd seemed to just be having fun at that show, throwing it back to our late teens. Just so much fun. Plus, it was the tour kickoff, so no one knew what to expect, and the anticipation was electric.
  • Here is my list by date attended:

    Eagles
    Jack White
    Journey
    PJ x 2 in Oakland
    Plant/Krauss
    RATM x 2 in Chicago
    Rod Stewart w Cheap Trick
    Band of Horses
    Black Keys
    Bush/Alice in Chains/Breaking Benjamin
    Spoon/Interpol
    PJ in Nashville
    PJ in Louisvllle
    Megadeth
    Toadies
    Puscifer

Top two would be both RATM shows...just amazing

Tool's sounding as good as ever, and Puscifer was a ton of fun... but The Smile was hands down the best show I saw all year.

    Hoping for more in '23.

As a guy who fiddles around with bass, I was legit mad at how effortless Yorke made it look. I expect it from Greenwood, that guy's a savant, but when I saw TY on bass I was FUMING. (mostly kidding... they f'ing killed it, I hope they tour the states again)
  • I tried for tickets for The Smile in Nashville but struck out with the presale and then fucked around and never planned the trip. Really wish I would have gone.

  • Not a whole lot this year, just getting back into the swing of thing post-pandemic and post-breakup. But what I lacked in quantity I made up in quality as I saw three of my absolute favorite all-time bands.

Guster @ State Theatre, Portland ME
Guster @ Thompson’s Point, Portland ME
Pearl Jam @ The Waterfront, Camden NJ
